Project overview
Permitting for this project has been completed. Its most unique feature is its capacity factor of 93%, meaning it can operate at almost full operational power 365 days a year. It is located in a beautiful spa area at the foot of a famous active volcano, Tungurahua. Construction is due to begin in April 2019.
This Powerhouse was designed in a colonial style to fit in with the towns of Ulba and Baňos.
