The pond has a flow-through design with a littoral zone at the beginning for amphibian breeding and water purification. The outlet of the pool is designed as a free overflow and is made by a paved stone chute set in cement mortar. The capacity of the spillway is designed for Q₁₀₀. During the extreme floods in September of 2024, it proved its functionality by draining all the rainfall.

The pier and dam remained undamaged after the water level dropped.
